What is the philosophy of 5280?
5280 Hoops Basketball Club concentrates on the fundamentals of basketball where a player is challenged to develop confidence, conviction and self-discipline through competitive team play.

What is difference between club and recreation basketball?
Recreational basketball is commonly focused on exposing new players to the game and providing a positive atmosphere to improve players’ skills. There are usually additional rules that govern many facets of the game. Players are guaranteed to play 50% of every game.
Club basketball focuses on the overall basketball and athletic skills of the players and eliminates any of the limitations of recreational basketball. The games are played at a fast pace, aggressively, and with the majority of players having solid basketball skills. Playing time is not guaranteed.
When and where is practice? How often?
Practice will be held in the Highlands Ranch area of Douglas County,Colorado. For the 2013 spring & summer season, each team will average two practices per week and one skills session.
Who is my child's coach?
We have an experienced staff of coaches managing their respective teams. Each of our coaches has many years of coaching experience for youth sports teams at various levels of competitive play. Collectively they have coached little league baseball, girls softball, Pop Warner football, high school basketball, recreational and competitive basketball.
What are the fees for 5280 Hoops and what do they cover?

Fees do not include:
- Coaches Travel Expenses, Player Travel Expenses or Uniform Costs.
Will the cost be different for High School and National Team?
he Costs for High School and the National teams will be slightly higher. We are finalizing those costs now and will have them out before High School Try-outs.
5280 Hoops Fee Payment Schedule & Assistance
Club fees will be divided into two payments. The first payment will be due when your player has been given a roster position and the second installment will be due a month or two later. All payment and scheduling information will be provided at the parent meeting at the beginning of the season

Am I still responsible for payment if my child gets injured?
Injuries are part of competitive sports, and unfortunately some players will get injured. 5280 Hoops would like to refund fees to those players that do get injured; however, we are unable to due to our commitment to keep our cost as low as possible. Our fees are based on the number of players per team which cover all of our fixed costs for the entire season..
Does 5280 have parent volunteering expectations?
5280 Hoops understands the costs of youth competitive sports on a family's budget. We make every effort to keep our costs at a minimum. We can only do this by the great volunteers at 5280 Hoops.
